ABOUT NETAJI SAINIK SCHOOL

Netaji Sainik School is established by VidyaBharathi with the vision of nurturing young minds into disciplined, confident, and responsible leaders of tomorrow. Inspired by the ideals of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the school aims to provide quality education integrated with military values to prepare students for careers in the Armed Forces and beyond.

We follow the CBSE curriculum blended with training in leadership, character building, and physical fitness. Along with academics, equal emphasis is given to sports, co-curricular activities, and life skills, ensuring holistic development of every cadet.

 ABOUT VIDYABHARATHI ORGANISATION

Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan (commonly called Vidya Bharati) is the largest non-governmental educational organization in India, inspired and guided by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Its vision is to provide value-based, character-oriented, and culturally rooted education to children, shaping them into responsible citizens with national pride.

Origin and Growth

 • 1952 – The first Saraswati Shishu Mandir was started in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
 • It began as a small experiment in imparting education that blends modern knowledge with India culture.
 • Over time, this initiative grew into a nationwide movement.

Today, Vidya Bharati runs:

 • 25,000+ schools (Saraswati Shishu Mandirs, Vidya Mandirs, and higher secondary schools)
 • 40 lakh+ students enrolled
 • 1.5 lakh teachers working voluntarily and professionally

This makes it one of the biggest private educational movements in the world.

OBJECTIVES

Vidya Bharati’s educational philosophy is based on the idea of “Samskar & Shiksha” (Values and Education). Its objectives are:

EDUCATIONAL APPROACH
 • Curriculum – Follows state/CBSE boards but adds emphasis on Sanskrit, Yoga, Moral Education, Indian Knowledge Systems, and Cultural Activities.
• Daily Routine – Includes prayer, yoga, patriotic songs, moral stories, and social service.
• Character-Building – Teachers act as mentors, focusing on discipline and values along with academics.
• Inclusive Education  – Schools are open to students of all castes, religions, and economic backgrounds.

Types of Vidya Bharati Schools
 1. Saraswati Shishu Mandir
     o Primary schools (generally up to class V). 
     o Focus on basic education + cultural values + discipline.
     o Started with the first school in Gorakhpur in 1952.
 2. Saraswati Vidya Mandir
     o Secondary and Senior Secondary schools (up to class XII).
     o Affiliated to State Boards, CBSE, or other recognized boards.
     o Provide modern subjects (Science, Commerce, Arts) along with Sanskrit, Yoga, Moral Education.
 3. Sanskar Kendras (Bal Sanskar Kendras / Ekal Vidyalayas)
     o Non-formal schools in villages, slums, and tribal areas.
     o For children who cannot attend regular schools.
     o Run in small huts or community places with basic literacy + cultural samskars.
 4. Sanskrit Vidyalayas / Gurukuls
     o Special schools for Sanskrit education and Vedic learning.
     o Teach Sanskrit language, literature, Vedas, Shastras, Yoga, and traditional knowledge systems.
 5. Tribal and Rural Schools
     o Set up in remote and underdeveloped areas.
     o Aim at the upliftment of tribal and economically weaker children.
     o Provide free/subsidized education, hostel facilities, and vocational training.
 6. Higher Education Institutions
     o Vidya Bharati also runs some colleges and teacher training institutes.
     o Focus on B.Ed, D.El.Ed, physical education, and vocational courses to prepare quality teachers and professionals.
