Oceanographer | Maritime & Logistics Expert (60 yrs)

Mr. Muralidharan, 60 yrs, is an Oceanographer by academic background and one of India’s well-experienced professionals in the ports, maritime, logistics, and shipping sectors, with over three and a half decades of leadership experience.

He has held top-level positions in the Government of Andhra Pradesh, serving as the CEO and later Advisor to the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board, and as the Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Infrastructure Development Corporation.

In the private sector, he played pivotal roles in the development and operations of major Indian ports. He served as Executive Director of Kakinada Gateway Port and Kakinada SEZ (Aurobindo Group companies), CEO of Karaikal Port, and was part of the founding leadership teams that built Gangavaram Port, the Vedanta Coal Terminal, and Vizag Seaports. He also held CXO positions in the Aditya Birla Group and SREI Group in their ports and logistics sectors.

His expertise spans the full spectrum of maritime and logistics operations — ocean freight and chartering, shipping operations, multimodal logistics, rail and road transport integration, port management, and large-scale infrastructure development.

Beyond India, Mr. Muralidharan has worked with emerging technology enterprises, contributing to successful IoT and AI start-ups in the supply chain sector in the United States, bringing cutting-edge digital insights to traditional maritime systems.
