Lt Col Chilukuri Harihar, AMC (Retired) is a senior psychiatrist with more than four decades of distinguished service in the Indian Army and medical education. Born on 11 September 1955 in Hyderabad, he served in the Army Medical Corps from June 1980 to May 2001 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He completed his MBBS from Kurnool Medical College and his MD in Psychological Medicine from Command Hospital (Air Force), Bengaluru.

After retiring from the Army, he dedicated himself to teaching psychiatry and served as Professor and Head of the Department in several reputed medical colleges across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He last retired on superannuation as Professor & HOD of Psychiatry from Bhaskar Medical College on 10 September 2025. A Fellow of the Indian Psychiatric Society, his areas of special interest include ketamine in psychiatry and spiritual psychiatry. He has also served as a postgraduate examiner in psychiatry for many years.
